"Celery" green is the Fremont Bridge's official color.The Oregon Salamander is one of the most common salamanders in the state.It can be found in both muddy and rocky streams, and is also a common sight in ponds and lakes.The Oregon Salamander feeds on small insects, such as flies.The average length is about 5½ inches.Their large head, black eyes, perfectly round tail, and no markings (like spots or stripes) is what makes it unique from other salamanders.This species of perch have a lifespan of about 2½ years.They grow to be about one foot long.In March through June, the mating season, the male are more brightly colored than the females.In this magnificent species a female can lay as many as 300,000 eggs in her lifetime.Wood Duck
